When we moved into our home in Saginaw, a few stray cats started showing their faces around our doorstep. We couldn’t help to give each of them a nickname; ‘The Twins’ for the two identical grey brothers, ‘Piglet’ for the tiny and perpetually petrified black kitten, and ‘Mama cat’ for the leader of the gang, a short orange cat.

Before we knew it, the snow had started falling and our worries about the cats grew. Taking care of neighborhood cats in the summer takes little more than a bowl of water and a little bit of cat food. With the winter, we knew there was much more to be done. Building warm cat shelters for the nights, keeping the water from freezing over, and so much more. After getting the shelters out and the water warmed, we noticed Piglet had developed a limp.

Just as Winnie the Pooh would do for his friend Piglet, we took our Piglet to see the veternarian. The X-Ray showed multiple fractures in her rear leg, as well as a dislocation. The wonder folks at Veterinary Health Center have agreed to fund the overwhelming majority of the $2,000 operation, and we’ve decided (with your help!) to take care of the remainder of the cost.

We’re only asking for $300 to get this amazing cat back on all four paws. All of this will be going directly to the operation, and we couldn’t be more grateful for any support you would be willing to provide.
